vintage 70's Ray Ban Ambermatics

handsome vintage Ray Ban Outdoorsman aviators. gold frames with Baush & Lomb etched ambermatic lenses — which cleverly adjust depending on both temperature & brightness. creamy pale plastic brow bar & nose pads. cable temples. ca 1970's.

overcast days: they remain amber to sharpen contrast and detail.
warm weather/ bright sunlight: they deepen to a dark brown (see last picture).
sunny/cold: they turn a dense dark brown/grey to reduce reflected glare.

we believe these are the outdoorsman model.

condition: great used vintage. one very small scratch on left lens — near the frame at about nose pad height. both cable temples have some discoloration/tarnishing (see pics) & one cable leans inward, the other out (see pic 4) — this does not affect their wearability, we just wanted to mention it. otherwise very clean. without original case.
